I no longer run scheduled workshops, please see the workshops I run with prices below and we can arrange a date to suit all.
My workshops are small, 2 to 3 people so a lot of individual tuition and attention.
I can accommodate 4 people if a small group workshop is required.

My studio is located in The Biscuit Factory, Newcastle upon Tyne. The gallery is a beautiful Victorian building originally built to make ships biscuits for the bustling port of Newcastle, it now holds contemporary collections of art, craft and design. There is a wonderful cafe with sun terrace if you would like to combine your creative experience with good food.

Silver Ring Taster Class
A choice of morning and afternoon classes available
10am – 12.30pm or 1pm – 3.30pm
Not sure if jewellery making is for you?? Come along to a silver taster class! In a two and a half hour class we will make beautiful simple silver rings, a number of skills will be experienced in this short class – design, texture, soldering, filing, sanding and polishing, you will initially practise with copper then transfer your designs to silver. This class will give you a good idea of what is involved in the jewellery making process and what can be accomplished in a longer class, and you will have your own beautiful handmade silver ring to take home with you. This is a lovely workshop to do with friends and family.
Cost is £38.00, materials included.
Silver Stacking Rings
10am – 3.30pm
Boosted by the ever popular Taster class this is an extended version to allow you to make 3 rings to stack together, all different, texture, personalise, add embellishments, you will learn how to size a ring to fit perfectly, solder, texture and polish…. See photos for inspiration, on the right of this page at the bottom. We will not stop for a full lunch break but bring a snack to keep you going!
Cost is £65.00, materials are included.
Stacking Rings with a Beautiful Stone
10am – 4pm
This class has been inspired by the fabulous work of my 5 week students, stacking ring and taster ring workshops! Make three silver stacking rings, one will have a beautiful stone set. I will have numerous beautiful semi-precious stones for you to choose from, examples are moonstone, peridot, simulated ruby, garnet, iolite, labradorite, pearls, turquoise and more, we will texture the silver bands so all of the rings will be different and unique, I will have pre made silver bezels for your stones. These rings will be so personal to you. There will be a break for lunch, you are welcome to go to the fabulous Biscuit Factory café, or other nearby cafes or bring your own.

Beautiful Bangles
10am – 1.30pm or 1.30 – 4.30pm
Make two beautiful silver bangles, we will begin this workshop practising different texturing techniques on copper or brass using hammers and stamps, you will keep this bangle, your chosen texture can then be transferred onto silver. Using traditional silversmithing skills you will make three bangles one copper or brass and two silver to sit together and jangle, totally unique to you!
Cost is £75.00, materials are included.
Meditation Rings
10am – 4pm
These rings are a big favourite of mine, and a very popular class, come along and make a chunky statement ring flared to hold one or more satellite rings which move freely around, they can be made from another from copper or brass for contrast. These rings have so many variations, they can be textured with hammers and punches, imprinted with the jewellers rolling mill, they do not have to be so wide if you prefer something more delicate. We will cover a number of skills, piercing (sawing) soldering, texturing, forming, polishing. There will be a break for lunch, you are welcome to go to the fabulous Biscuit Factory café, or other nearby cafes or bring your own.
